Hi. I'm Aaron

As a lifelong Ultimate player and coach of the mighty Dr. Turnovers, I have seen the value and richness that amateur sports can bring to people's lives. After Coaching Juniors at Calgary Ultimate Association I felt there was a real appetite in the communuity to expand the Minor Ultimate programming available in YYC and decided to get started. I have the pleasure of working in tandam with a fantastic Advisory Board that has a wealth of expierence on and off the pitch.  Together we are confident in bringing an organization committed to providing an inclusive, athletic and postive sport to our community.

Elise Sweeney

Elise Sweeney works in Calgary and the surrounding area as Registered Respiratory Therapist and Certified Respiratory Educator. She enjoys enabling patients to get out and do what they love and getting to chat with seniors, they always have the best stories.  Elise found out about the wonderful game of Ultimate one year at summer camp. After that, Elise was hooked. Now after years of playing league Ultimate, beach Ultimate, participating in Ultimate tournaments and some time spent practicing with LIT (the competitive co-ed Calgary Ultimate team), Elise’s love and appreciation of the sport has only grown. Getting the opportunity to help pass on this enthusiasm and love of Ultimate to others and to encourage girls to get involved in sport, is exciting for Elise. When she is not working at her day job or out playing Ultimate, you can find Elise spending time with family and friends, being involved at her local church, exploring the Canadian Rockies and bagging peaks or participating in volunteer medical clinics in other countries.

Scott Hislop

Scott Hislop is an accountant turned entrepreneur who has called Calgary "home" since 2014. He is actively involved in the community through his volunteer work with Local Investing YYC, Variety the Children's Charity of Alberta, and his community association.

Scott was introduced to Ultimate at the age of 13 and was immediately hooked. Although he was anything but a natural at the sport at first, his enthusiasm for the game kept him playing. Scott went on to win three gold medals with Team Canada at the World Championships in Australia, Vancouver, and Italy. Scott was proud to see his team, Team Fisher Price, inducted into the Canadian Ultimate Hall of Fame in 2022.
Off the field, Scott loves spending time with his wife and two young kids experiencing everything this great province has to offer.

Paige Sweeney

Paige Sweeney is an Emergency Department nurse at one of our main hospitals in Calgary. She loves the fast paced environment and excitement that working in a major ER brings and always has a good story on hand for those brave enough to listen. She loves the world of medicine and is thankful for a chance to help and hopefully make a difference in her patient’s lives. She has had the opportunity to participate in various medical missions in Africa and it has made a big impact on her. Paige was introduced to Ultimate through her sister while at summer camp and has loved the sport ever since. She has played for many years since that point; participating in rec leagues, Beach Ultimate, occasional tournaments, and spending some time practicing with LIT (the competitive co-ed team in Calgary). Paige has loved introducing the sport to friends and family and growing as an Ultimate athlete and is eager to share this with the youth in Calgary. She is looking forward to helping cultivate a positive, collaborative, and fun atmosphere.

When not running around the ER on her 12 hourr shifts, Paige can most certainly be found scrambling up the side of a mountain peak in the Rockies, enjoying the outdoors camping, traveling around the world, and enjoying good food. She is passionate about being involved in her local church, including working with the children and youth.
